Assign process access privileges

You can use process access privileges to specify the process types that specific users and user groups may access.

  • You can assign process access privileges only to activated PPM users and user groups.

  • The users in a user group are automatically assigned the process access privileges for that group.

Prerequisite

You have the Privilege management function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click PPM > Administration.

Administration opens on a separate tab.

  2. Click Process access privileges in the Administration bar.

  3. Display the Base tab bar.

  4. Click Edit Edit.

You can now edit the process access privileges.

  5. Select a process type group or a process type and enable the check boxes for the users and user groups you want to be able to access the process type group or process type.

The process access privilege for a process type group automatically contains the process access privileges for the individual process types in the group.

The users in a user group are automatically assigned the process access privileges for that group.

  6. Repeat step 5 for all required process type groups or process types.

  7. Click Save Save.

Your settings are saved in the PPM database.

If your system uses Autosave mode, the Save button is not available. In this case, your settings are automatically saved to the database.

Tip

You can also assign process access privileges in privilege management when editing users and editing user groups.
