Create organizational units

You can create organizational units and assign each of them one or more processors with the same activity.

Prerequisite

You have the Organizational unit management function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click PPM > Administration.

  2. Administration opens on a separate tab.

  3. Click Organizational units in the Administration bar.

  4. Display the Base tab bar.

  5. Click Edit Edit.

    You can now edit organizational units.

  6. Click New document Create organizational unit.

  7. Enter a name for the new organizational unit.

  8. Click OK.The new organizational unit is displayed in the Organizational unit box and can be edited.

  9. To assign processors to the organizational unit, enter the name of the processor in the Processor box. After entering each name, press Enter. The names must be entered precisely as they occur in the source system.

    Every processor can be assigned to one organizational unit only. To change the assignment of a processor, you must first delete the existing assignment.

  10. If the new organizational unit is to be excluded from measure calculating, check the Ignore for measure calculation check box.

  11. To assign all processors not previously assigned to any organizational unit to the new organizational unit, enable the All non-assigned processors to this organizational unit check box.

  12. If required, enter a cost rate for the organizational unit and select the unit for the cost rate. The cost rate is included in measure calculation.

  13. Click Save Save.

Your settings are saved in the PPM database.

If your system uses Autosave mode, the Save button is not available. In this case, your settings are automatically saved to the database.
