Introduction to privilege management

PPM privilege management enables you to assign specific PPM privileges to individual users and user groups. Users belonging to a group automatically inherit all privileges of the group.

In privilege management, you can:

Privilege assignment is PPM-specific and only applies to the current client.

Central User Management

PPM is connected to the central User Management, which is used for creating users and user groups and managing them across products. In User Management, general properties and privileges of all users including their assignment to user groups are stored. Also, users are authenticated via User Management at all products registered, which enables single sign-on for all these products.

In addition to user and privilege administration, User Management enables you to manage your PPM license keys.

Detailed information on using User Management is available in the User Management online help.
