Insert favorites in the calculation rule

You can insert favorites as operands in the calculation rule for user-defined measures.

The calculation of a user-defined measure can fail, if

  • a referenced favorite no longer exists,

  • a favorite is no longer a shared favorite or configuration favorite,

  • a favorite does not include exactly one measure with other usages being ignored, for example, as a min comparison value,

  • a favorite causes a cycle in the calculation, or

  • the executing user does not have sufficient access privileges for the shared favorites and the included process type with possible restrictions.

Prerequisite

You have the User-defined measure management function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Open a user-defined measure for editing in the Measure editor.

  2. Click Favorite in the Operands bar and drag the favorite onto an operator in the measure tree.

    1. Select a favorite whose value you want to use.

    2. Select the usage of the favorite.

  3. Click OK.

The calculation rule is modified in line with your settings. Your changes are available to other PPM users as soon as you refresh the display.
