Find measures and dimensions in processes
You can search for measures and dimensions across processes or in particular process types and process type groups.
A corresponding search field is available for each option on the Measures and Dimensions bars. Only the measures and dimensions registered at the selected process instances in the process tree are displayed here.
You can use a wizard to start a cross-process search or execute the search on other process instances than those used in the current analysis.
A cross-process search is not available in Data Analytics.
Enter a partial or entire search term in the search field.
The list of measures or dimensions is displayed with the corresponding filtering.
If you want to start a cross-process search, click the
Search measures in all processes or Search dimensions in all processes button in the search field.The search wizard is started. The process instances currently selected in the process tree are not included when searching using the wizard.
Specify your settings and click Finish.
If you exit the wizard on the first page after selecting the measure or dimension by clicking Finish, the search is performed on the process instances at which the measure or dimension is registered. These are displayed in the Available process types field on the first page. If you want to perform the search on particular process instances, select the corresponding process types or process type groups on the second page.
If you have only performed the search in the bar, the search result is displayed directly in the bar. Your current analysis is not affected by the search.
If you have performed your search using the wizard, the selected process instances are transferred to your analysis and replace the existing ones used. The measure or dimension you search for is not automatically transferred to the analysis, it is only selected in the bar.
You can now use the relevant measure or dimension in your analysis.
