Delete projects and process data
On the Manage projects page, you can delete individual projects including the process data or you can delete only the process data of a project.
Note that with the Process Mining configurator, you can delete only the process data but not the project itself if a project contains user-defined dimensions or user-defined measures. If you attempt to delete such a project, an error occurs. The process data is deleted, but the project is set to Error deleting status. Before you can delete such projects using the Process Mining configurator, you must manually delete the user-defined measures or user-defined dimensions where they were defined.
Warning
Note that deleted projects cannot be restored.
Favorites that refer to the deleted process type do not work anymore. Thus, reports that refer to these favorites do not deliver any results either.
Tip
You can open the Manage projects page by clicking the ARIS Process Mining logo on the program bar and then clicking Manage your projects.
On the Manage projects page, select a project.
Click
More actions -> Delete....Enable the Delete project including process data option to delete the project configuration with the process data of the selected project.
Projects can only be deleted if there is no other project that is in status Error, Import is running, or Deletion in progress. Projects in status Error cannot be deleted.
If an error occurs when deleting the project and process type, a corresponding message is displayed. For details, see the chapter Error handling.
Enable the Delete process data option to delete only the process data of the selected project.
If you select this option, only the process data is deleted. The configuration and the project itself with the corresponding process type are retained. The option is only available if process data has already been imported.

Click Delete.
The selected project including the process data, or only the process data is deleted. If you selected the Delete process data option, the project status is set to status Successful.
Click Refresh to reload the current project list. If the selected project was successfully deleted, the project is removed from the project list. If the deletion process has not yet been completed, the project remains on the list and has the Error deleting status.
Note that defined planned values, CPI-messages, and CPI-actions are no longer displayed in the PPM client and cannot be used, but they remain in the database. If you create another project with the same name under the same process type group, these definitions will be automatically active again (in contrast to the process access rights).
Note that when you delete the last process type of a process type group, this process type group is also deleted.
