Aggregate process instances
You can aggregate several process instances in your PPM database into one process instance. After the aggregation, the PPM database contains only the aggregated process instance.
To do this, use the user interface to create a configuration file containing the information of the process instances to be aggregated. You can then use the configuration file and the runppmcompress.bat command line program to perform the aggregation.

Warning
The aggregated process instances are deleted and cannot be restored.
Prerequisite
You have the Process instance aggregation function privilege.
Click PPM > Administration.
Administration opens on a separate tab.
Click Process instances in the Administration bar.
Display the Base tab bar.
In the Processes bar, select a process type.
In the Selected filter settings window, you see the Criteria and Values that you can use to restrict the number of process instances.
Below the list of filter settings, the number of assigned, non-aggregated, and aggregated process instances is displayed.
Define more filters to reduce the number of process instances.
Display the Measures or Dimensions bar.
Right-click a measure or dimension and select Edit filter. Specify your settings.
Your settings are displayed in the Selected filter settings window.
You can define additional dimensions to aggregate organizational units. By default, organizational units are aggregated with your name.
First, select a Relation to which the organizational unit is assigned.
Depending on your selection, organizational units are displayed as dimensions in the Dimensions bar.
Right-click an organizational unit in the Dimensions bar and select Edit filter. Specify your settings.
Your settings are displayed in the Selected filter settings window.
Once you have entered all settings, click Aggregate.
Select a folder and specify a name for the configuration file.
Click Save.
The configuration file is saved in the selected folder and is available for process instance aggregation using the runppmcompress.bat command line program.
