Set enumeration for a section

You can set one enumeration (iteration) of the inserted analyses for each individual section and sub-section in your report. For this, a separate iteration area for the section is provided.

The enumeration you set has the same effect as an additional filter. You also select a relation, process instances, and a dimension and set the step width. The components inserted in the section are displayed as many times as the number of steps in the selected dimension. The relevant data is filtered for each step and displayed in the report.

If you set an enumeration for a sub-section and an enumeration is already set for the superordinate section, the steps of both sections are merged by default. If you do not merge the enumerations of both sections the inserted component remains unchanged and is displayed as many times as the number of steps of the enumeration of the superordinate section.

You can set the iteration for an empty section or for a section that already contains an analysis component.

The Static contents label in the iteration area of the Structure column indicates that no iteration has been set for this section so far.

Example 161.

The superordinate section contains the dimension steps January and February. The subordinate section contains the steps Plant A, Plant B, and Plant C. For example, the set analysis displays a speedometer chart for the cycle time measure.

If you enabled the Include enumeration of superordinate section option, one speedometer chart is displayed for each of the following steps:

Month January/Plant A

Month January/Plant B

Month January/Plant C

Month February/Plant A

Month February/Plant B

Month February/Plant C

If you disabled the Include enumeration of superordinate section option, one speedometer chart is displayed for each of the following steps:

Plant A

Plant B

Plant C

Plant A

Plant B

Plant C

Prerequisite

You have the Report management function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click PPM > Configuration.

  2. Click Report definitions in the Configuration bar.

  3. Open a report definition or create a new report definition.

  4. Click in the section that you want to edit.

  5. Display the Format tab bar.

  6. Click Section settings Section properties.

Alternatively, you can double-click the section in the Structure column.

  7. Activate the Enumeration page.

  8. Specify your settings.

    1. Enable the Set enumeration option.

    2. Select a relation, the process instances, and a dimension, and set a filter and specify the step width, if required.

    3. Disable the Include enumeration of superordinate section option if you want to display the inserted components as many times as the number of steps of the superordinate section.

  9. Click OK.

The set iteration is transferred and displayed in the Structure column of the selected section.

If the set iteration does not match the inserted analysis components, the section is displayed with a red border. In this case, change the set iteration or select a different analysis component.
