Import user-defined measures

You can import user-defined measures available as XML file into PPM.

Only valid user-defined measures can be imported, that is they can be calculated in PPM. For example, if a user-defined measure to be imported contains a measure unknown in PPM, it cannot be calculated.

A user-defined measure can only be imported if the process type at which it is registered already exists in the process tree. If a measure is registered at multiple process types, it is imported and registered only for the process types existing in the process tree.

Warning

By default, the measures to be imported that already exist in PPM are selected in the selection tree so that the existing measures are automatically overwritten during the import. Measures to be imported and existing measures are checked for their identity based on their key.

Prerequisite

You have the Configuration import function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click PPM > Configuration.

  2. Click User-defined measures in the Configuration bar.

The Measure editor is displayed with a predefined calculation rule.

The imported user-defined measures are available in the User-defined measures bar.

The selection tree of user-defined measures is divided into root nodes to which the dependent user-defined measures are added as sub-nodes in line with the call sequence in the calculation tree.
