Process type definition
The basis for working with PPM is information about the actual business processes (process instances) in your company. All process instances are classified when you import data into PPM. They are therefore assigned to process types. This assignment ensures that order processing transactions are not compared against return transactions, for example.
A process type definition contains the rules by which process instances determined from actual data of a source system are classified. You can create multiple process type definitions in PPM. During data import, the process instances are classified according to the specified process type definition.
