LDAP
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is a network protocol used for so-called directory services. It arranges communication between LDAP client (for example, an e-mail server, an e-mail client, or a digital address book) and the directory (directory server) from which the user-relevant data is extracted.
