Introduction to factory calendar
In the factory calendar, you can specify the work times rendered in your company. PPM takes working times into account when calculating specific measures. The factory calendar ensures that only the actual number of hours worked is included in the calculation.
For example, if an operation began just before the annual factory shutdown and will not be completed until after the return of workers, the shutdown period is not included in the measure calculation.
In the factory calendar, you can define reference periods for which you can also specify the default working time for each day of the week. Furthermore, you can define special times for specific calendar days.
Working times are calculated in hours. Calculation and presentation of measures sometimes requires transformation (conversion) into working days, working weeks, etc. Therefore, you need to specify how those values are derived from each other.
You can export and import the factory calendar in XML format.
Prerequisite: You have the Factory calendar management function privilege.
