Display preview of analysis components

You can display a preview of certain analysis components.

The preview mode activates the general preview for a report definition. Analyses with current data is displayed for the Chart, Relation Explorer, Communication network, and EPC analysis components in the report definition.

You can disable or enable the preview for individual analysis components when the preview mode is activated.

Preview mode is activated by default.

For performance reasons, EPC preview is disabled by default.

Prerequisite

You have the Report management function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click PPM > Configuration.

  2. Click Report definitions in the Configuration bar.

  3. Open a report definition or create a new report definition.

  4. Display the Visualization tab bar.

  5. Click Report preview Display preview.

The preview is activated for the report definition, analyses are queried, and the preview is displayed for the relevant analysis components.

To turn the preview mode on or off for individual analysis components right-click a component and enable or disable the option Display preview in the pop-up menu.

To cancel all or individual ongoing queries, click Report preview Display previewin the toolbar, or deactivate the preview for a single analysis in its pop-up menu.

  • EPC view

    The layout of an EPC is not deterministic, therefore there can be differences between preview and actual output of the EPC in the report.

  • Iterations

    If you set iterations for a section these affect the preview including any filters possibly set.

  • Global filter settings

    Global filters are not considered for the preview. Therefore, there can be differences between the preview and the actual output of the analysis component in the report.
