Insert analysis components in reports

You can display as many analysis components (for example, charts, tables or data fields) in sections of your report as you like.

Using favorites, you can insert analysis components in your report definition. A favorite supplies current analysis data for your report definition. If you insert a shared favorite as a link, not the currently embedded analysis data, but the data at the time of report execution is inserted via the favorite path.

You cannot insert analysis components in headers and footers.

Prerequisite

You have the Report management function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click PPM > Configuration.

  2. Click Report definitions in the Configuration bar.

  3. Open a report definition or create a new report definition.

  4. Click the section or row where you want to insert an element.

  5. Display the Insert tab bar.

  6. Click Analysis view Analysis component and select the relevant analysis component.

You can now select a favorite with the relevant analysis.

  7. Specify your settings.

  8. Click OK.

A placeholder for the selected analysis component is displayed in your report definition.

As soon as you have inserted a favorite of a multi-panel analysis the selected panels are displayed one below the other.

If you want to insert multiple elements you can use a formatting table to arrange the elements.

The XLS format does not support the output of nested tables (tables within tables or rows that extend over multiple columns) in your report definition.
