Introduction to planned values

By comparing the actual measure values with the planned values, PPM enables you to identify weak spots in processes and also to establish an automated early-alert system for your processes. You can define planned values for all measures. In this way, the decision-makers are automatically informed as soon as the measures are in a range in which the planned process performance is endangered. This means that, at an early stage, you can implement improvement measures as soon as achievement of the planned process performance is endangered.

To define planned values, set the relevant process type group, the process or function type, and the relation, select the measure to which the planned values relate, and specify additional filters. The planned values are checked every time data is imported from the source system. If unfavorable deviations from the planned values are detected, planned value messages are generated and automatically sent to the recipients specified in the planned values table. If the e-mail addresses of the selected recipients and the sender (user system) are specified in User management, the recipients will also receive an e-mail. You can adapt the planned values flexibly to your needs by changing the settings or deleting planned values. In addition, you can show the planned values in your analysis.

Prerequisite: You have the Planned value management function privilege.
