Change or replace elements in the calculation rule

You can replace or change the following elements of a calculation rule:

  • Operators

  • Operands

    • Favorites

    • Measures

    • Constants

    • Time spans

Prerequisite

You have the User-defined measure management function privilege.

Replace operator

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Open a user-defined measure for editing in the Measure editor.

  2. In the measure tree, right-click the operator and select Replace operator.

  3. Click an operator.

    The operators offered depend on the number of subordinate operands in your calculation rule. For example, if you have already inserted three operands under the Addition operator, you cannot replace the operator with Division.

Replace or modify operands

  1. Open a user-defined measure for editing in the Measure editor.

  2. In the measure tree, right-click the favorite and select Edit Set properties.

  3. Enter your changes.

  4. Click OK.

Your changes are applied to the current calculation rule. Your changes are available to other PPM users as soon as you refresh the display.
