Introduction to measure-dependent dimensions
You can set individual measure-dependent dimensions in the Measure-dependent dimensions component of the Configuration module.
With measure-dependent dimensions, you view the values of a dimension with regard to a specific numerical measure in a given data range. Measure-dependent dimensions provide you with additional filter options.
You can use the measure-dependent dimensions for your analyses in the same way as any other dimension. Every time you use the measure-dependent dimension in an analysis, the individual dimension values are grouped with regard to the current measure values. When you create the measure-dependent dimension, you specify which process instances are to be included in the grouping. Thus, grouping is not performed on the basis of all process instances in the current analysis, but on the basis of the process instances that were selected when the grouping was created.
When you define a filter for a measure-dependent dimension, you limit the number of dimension values to those for which the reference measure is within a certain range. Filter setting is not performed on the basis of all process instances in the current analysis either, but always on the basis of the process instances that were selected when it was created.
