What do the ranking values mean?
Ranking analyses support you in the quantitative comparison of your processes as part of benchmarking.Ranking analyses are based on rankings. Use rankings to weight various measures.
Low ranking values should be assessed as positive and high ranking values as negative. The ranking values are identified as follows:
Ranking with regard to individual measures
The number of different measure values for the selected dimension is identified. For example, if eight different measure values exist for a dimension, the ranking runs from 1 to 8. A ranking value of 1 corresponds to the best measure value that appears while a ranking value of 8 represents the worst measure value. Identical measure values lead to identical rankings.
Overall ranking
The weighting of the measures of the ranking is included. The individual ranking values are each multiplied by the weighting of the measure and then added together. For example, if seven different measure values are identfied for a dimension in this way, the ranking runs from 1 to 7. A ranking value of 1 corresponds to the best result while a ranking value of 7 represents the worst result. Identical results lead to identical rankings.
