Introduction to ranking analysis
Ranking analyses support you in the quantitative comparison of your processes as part of benchmarking. You can use ranking analyses to reveal differences in performance between parallel processes. For example, you can compare the performance of sales organizations or plants with one another with regard to multiple measures.
Ranking analyses are based on rankings. Use rankings to weight various measures. To do this, define the criteria (measures) you want to use to compare the processes of the individual dimension values (for example, the individual sales organizations). Define a weighting for each measure. In ranking analyses, measure values and weighting are used to produce an evaluation in the form of an overall ranking.
You can display the results of your ranking analyses as a table or in a radar chart. This provides an immediate overview of the performance of your processes with regard to particular criteria. You can also use rankings as an additional measure for your analyses.
The Ranking Analysis Wizard provides you with a convenient way to create, edit, delete, and run ranking analyses.
