Swap column and row assignment in crosstabs

You can swap the row and column assignment in your crosstab or display particular rows as columns, and vice-versa.

For example, you can display all measures and dimensions as columns or rows.

Prerequisite

Your analysis is displayed as a crosstab.

Swap entire row and column assignment

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Display the Visualization tab bar.

  2. Click Transpose table Swap row and column assignment.

All row fields in the table change into column fields and vice versa.

Transpose rows and columns

You can display rows as columns or columns as rows. All measures are combined in the column/row Measure.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click a row called Measure or the name of the dimension that you want to transpose for display.

  2. Drag the row to the preferred position in the table.

    Release the mouse button as soon as the mouse pointer is displayed as a rectangle.

The display of the selected row or column is transposed.
