Set filters for time range dimensions

As for time dimensions, you can define filters for fixed and relative time ranges for time range dimensions.

You can also define how values that were not specified (process instances without dimension value) are to be handled. You indicate whether values that were not specified are to be displayed additionally or even exclusively. By default, values that were not specified are not considered.

If no filter is set on the time range dimension, process instances without dimension value are taken into account.

A filter set is interpreted differently for time range dimensions.

  • If an iteration via the time range dimension is included in the query the filter is interpreted as an iteration time range that restricts the number of iteration steps to be considered. An iteration filter thus filters the number of steps, not process instances.

  • If no iteration is included in the query, an analysis date is calculated based on the filter duration for start time or end time-related dimensions. For interval-based dimensions, the period based on which process instances qualify for the analysis is used.

Combined filters for time range dimensions are not supported.

Prerequisite

Your analysis includes a time range dimension.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Open an analysis.

  2. Display the Settings bar.

  3. Right-click the relevant dimension.

  4. Click Edit filter.

  5. Specify your settings.

The set filter is displayed in the Settings bar. The changed settings are applied to your current analysis.
