Set ad hoc filter for time dimensions
You can use various display types to easily set your ad hoc filter for time dimensions.
The values that can be set are displayed in the form of a calendar or slider.
Prerequisite
You have selected a time dimension as the filter criterion.
Calendar view
In the calendar view, the periods are displayed as individual buttons, for example, for years, quarters, or months.
Click the buttons of the periods by which you want to filter.
To simultaneously select multiple periods, hold down the Shift key.
Slider view
Set a filter period by specifying the start and end time of the period using the sliders.
Set overall period
Click the start or the end of the top slider and drag it to the desired positions on the time bar.
Refine period
On the bottom time bar, click a time section to select it.
To set larger time sections, drag the start and the end of the slider to the desired positions on the time bar.
Set scaling
Click
Display menu in the time dimension.Click Set scaling.
Specify your settings.
Your settings are applied directly to your current analysis.
